At Focus on Function, we are thrilled to introduce a new, evidence-informed service for people living with persistent pain: Mobile InterX Therapy. Designed with our community in mind, this service is now available across regional NSW under iCare, NDIS, and Aged Care funding.
We know that for many of our participants, pain is the most limiting factor in daily life. For individuals living with spinal cord injuries and brain injuries, persistent pain can affect everything—from mobility and independence to sleep, mood, and participation in everyday activities. And in regional areas, accessing high-quality, consistent pain management services can be even more challenging.
That’s why we’ve taken action.
InterX Therapy uses non-invasive neurostimulation technology to target areas of pain and discomfort. Unlike traditional electrotherapy devices, InterX interacts with the nervous system in a dynamic way—delivering tailored impulses that respond to the body’s feedback. Sessions are gentle, drug-free, and can be adjusted to suit each person’s tolerance, presentation, and goals.
But the biggest game-changer? We come to you.
Our InterX service is fully mobile, meaning you can receive therapy in the comfort of your home, supported accommodation, or aged care facility. It’s ideal for people who have limited mobility or face access barriers, and it integrates seamlessly into existing support plans.
Whether you’re an iCare participant managing chronic pain post-injury, an NDIS participant looking to improve comfort and function, or an older adult navigating age-related pain, our team is here to support you.
Our clinicians are trained in InterX delivery and work in partnership with your existing therapy team to ensure therapy is safe, effective, and aligned with your goals. Our focus is always on helping you optimise function, reduce pain, and get back to doing more of the things that matter to you.
