Our experienced occupational therapists provide comprehensive iCare Care Needs Assessments, working closely with participants, their families, attendant care providers, and the treating team to ensure an accurate and holistic understanding of support needs.
We bring extensive expertise in supporting people with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and multiple amputations. Our assessments also review injury-related care requirements even when this support is currently provided by informal carers, ensuring every need is recognised and documented.
In line with iCare’s guidelines, the assessment is completed by a qualified care needs assessor who will meet with you in your own home to review your support needs across:
- Personal care (e.g., showering, dressing)
- Domestic tasks (e.g., preparing meals, cleaning)
- Support to attend injury-related treatment, rehabilitation activities, and appointments
- Assistance to engage in family and community activities
- Registered nursing support
- Gardening and general maintenance of your home
With a strong focus on collaboration, accuracy, and participant outcomes, our goal is to ensure you receive the right level of care and support to live as independently and fully as possible.
