Focus on Function is pleased to offer Speech Pathology services, based in Tamworth, with both mobile and clinic-based appointments available. Our Speech Pathologist works alongside participants, families and support networks to improve communication, swallowing and overall quality of life.
We provide collaborative, participant-centred care across aged care, CTP, iCare Lifetime Care, iCare Workers Care and workers compensation claims.
Our Speech Pathology service is available to participants funded under:
- Aged Care
- CTP (Compulsory Third Party) claims
- iCare Lifetime Care
- iCare Workers Care
- Workers Compensation
- Swallowing (dysphagia) assessment and management
- Communication assessment and therapy (speech, language, voice and fluency)
- Cognitive-communication support for brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessment and prescription
- Mealtime management plans
- Liaison with our Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Case Management teams, and external providers
- Mobile appointments in the participant’s home or community setting across Tamworth
- Clinic-based appointments at our Tamworth office
