Established 18 months ago, Focus on Function has grown rapidly, thanks to its passionate and dedicated team of occupational therapists, case managers, practice managers and customer support specialists.
Since opening its doors, Focus on Function has served 218 clients across the region, helping adults with disabilities to flourish.
With a focus on delivering high quality care, Focus on Function harbours a positive culture, producing great outcomes for people with disabilities in rural communities.
Not only does the team of highly experienced occupational therapists service Gunnedah, but also Tamworth, Narrabri, Quirindi, Manilla and all small towns between.
Owner and founder Louise Whitton, who has been an occupational therapist for 16 years, said Focus on Function has grown exponentially since launching in January 2021.
“We work with our clients and their families in home, modifying their environment for optimal performance,” Louise said.
“It could be organising home modifications such as ramps, devising comprehensive reports for funding bodies and ensuring adults with disabilities can achieve their goals.
“We focus on collaboration and communication with providers such as NDIS and iCare with an unwavering focus on customer support. There is nothing we love to see more than people achieving their goals and improving their quality of life.”
Louise said one of the perks of having a rural practice is being able to see participants flourish in the community.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be able to help those with disabilities from all walks of life,” Louise said.
“We are a team of genuinely passionate people. We love what we do and take pride in being able to deliver such wonderful outcomes in these rural communities.”
