I grew up on a small property with sheep just outside of Tamworth. I relocated to Newcastle to attend the University of Newcastle to complete my Nutrition and Dietetics degree. I participated in the rural immersion program and completed my placements in Tamworth and Armidale during my 4th year.
I was drawn to the idea of working rurally with the wonderful community and the diversity that rural practice provides. Working with individuals from various backgrounds to adressing unique health needs brings new experiences and insights. Overall, the idea of contributing to the well-being of rural communities while embracing the diversity of rural life resonates with me.
Once I completed placements, I relocated to the Gunnedah region and was fortunate enough to work with the lovely team at Focus on Function. I look forward to working within the community and providing individualised care to best support people’s goals and lifestyles.
Non work roles is currently just farm work on family properties in Tamworth and Piallaway, involving sheep, cattle and cropping.
